‘Addams’ kicks off with a bang!

Last Wednesday evening certainly wasn’t One Normal Night, as we got the ball rolling on our April 2024 production of ‘The Addams Family’. Our Welcome Meeting for Addams was jam packed to the rafters with almost 80 excited potential cast members all raring to get going.

The night started off with a quick introduction to the Board of Directors and a wee insight of what it is to be part of the EMT family, before we handed over to our Creative Team: Niall King (Director), Ashleigh Le Cras (Choreographer) and Rob Stewardson (Musical Director). Each took us through the vision for the show and how that would shape the acting, dancing and vocals throughout. There was also an opportunity to meet our amazing Production Team, Charlie Johnson-Walker (Production Manager) and Chloe Bingham (Assistant Stage Manager) and ask both the Creative and Production teams any questions.

Niall then took us through some icebreakers, encouraging everyone to have fun and be a little ‘cookie and spooky’, Ashleigh taught all 77 people the dance for When You’re An Addams, before Rob taught everyone the vocals – all 7 parts of the harmony!

The response to Addams so far has been amazing – audition slots were harder to secure than Taylor Swift tickets, and we’ve booked out 4 full evenings and a full day of rehearsals, and we’re so excited to see the talent!

If you didn’t manage to secure a slot, we’ve opened up another Ensemble group audition on Saturday 7th of October. If you’d like to audition for a Principal role, please keep an eye on the booking system as people may cancel their auditions nearer the time. You can find the booking system on our Auditions page.
