Recently our Secretary and long-term board member, Jess Gioia, announced she’d be stepping down from her role as her and her husband, Francis, move on to pastures new.
Jess has been a member of EMT for over 15 years, joining us on- and off-stage for 28 shows (32 if you count our recent Fringe ventures as 2 separate shows). Outwith her multitude of roles spanning various productions, including board member, cast member and stage manager, Jess has provided our company with a true example of everything we strive to embody. With genuine expression of kindness and compassion, she has helped shape this community into the welcoming and open space we are proud of today. Never failing to offer a warm smile or words of encouragement, Jess has given more to this community and it’s members than we will ever have the words to express.
With this in mind, EMT is proud to have presented our wonderful Jess with the first ever Lifetime Membership. On Saturday night, we were joined by many friendly faces from past productions to express our gratitude for the joy she has brought to the company for the past sixteen years, and commemorate the unique role she has played within our community.
